Luis Parra 🇨🇴
Present in the video game industry for more than 10 years, having managed to bring the games in which he has worked to more than two million players. Apart from his empirical experience, he has a Master’s Degree in Game Design from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, CA, USA.
Founding partner and CEO of Press Start Group, www.pressstart.co, an international video game studio with offices in Colombia, Australia and USA where he raised private investment from Silicon Valley, as well as contracts with publishers of the likes of EA Chillingo.
Apart from his efforts in developing videogames, he has been very involved in the growth and international positioning of the Latin American videogame industry as founder and organizer of missions to Silicon Valley, events such as the first prize for women in videogame held in Bogota, Colombia, educational programs in game design and the most important to date, the Latin American Gathering in GDC.
Founding partner of the Latin American Gathering, since 2013 he has worked to give a meeting space to the Latin videogame community during the GDC (Game Developers Conference), being already in its seventh edition with more than 1000 attendees in the previous six , establishing itself as the official meeting place for Latino developers.
María Luján 🇦🇷
Cultural producer and curator specialized in experimental art videogames. Luján has a degree in Public and Institutional Relations and a Master Degree in Communication and Cultural Creation by the Walter Benjamin Foundation (thesis awaiting jury). Luján is Co-founder of the Latin American Meeting of Videogames, GAIA (Game Arts International Assembly) and co-founder of the cultural producer Objeto a, focused on art and technology.
She is also the leading coordinador of the “Cuadernos de Game Studies”, an annual publication edited by Universidad de Palermo. María Luján is dedicated to the divulgation of experimental and artistic videogames fostering their insertion in the cultural field and encouraging female participation in the industry. She is part of the WIG.AR ( Women in Games Argentina) communication/events committee.
She has given talks and participated in events such as TEDx Riodelaplata (Buenos Aires), Jorge Tadeo Lozano University (Bogotá), DevHourmx (Mexico City), DiGRA (Melbourne, Australia) among others.
Renzo Sanchez 🇵🇪
Renzo is an entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience in the video game industry, working as a programmer, producer, consultant, instructor and international lecturer. Founder of ArtiGames Company and ArtiGames Game School. Co-Founder of the Peruvian Association of Video Game Developers (APDEVA).
Organizer of international events such as COIDEV, International Congress of Video Game Developers (Lima, Peru) and the Latin American Meeting (San Francisco, USA).
He also organizes Technological Missions in foreign countries, taking Peruvian entrepreneurs to meet representative companies around the world such as Electronic Arts, Naughty Dog, Disney Animation Studios, Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Rovio, among many others.
